Dykema Gossett PLLC, a leading national law firm, is recruiting for a Research Analyst to conduct research and analysis in conjunction with the Legal Information Services Team and Director, for attorneys, legal specialists and staff. The position requires strong research and analytical skills utilizing online tools with ability to present information in logical, organized manner.
Essential duties and responsibilities include: conduct legal and intelligence research in conjunction with the LIS team for all Dykema offices; participate in expanding and/or improving research services, procedures and practices; produce relevant reports as requested by the Director of Legal Information Services; participate in meetings with attorneys to assess needs for research services and tools; utilize library management system; participate in Legal Information Services team meetings, vendor meetings and Practice Group trainings and meetings requested or delegated by the Director; and perform additional research functions and tasks as requested or delegated by the Director of Legal Information Services.
Candidates must possess a post graduate degree such as a JD or MLS from an accredited school. Required skills and abilities include one to three years’ experience in research, or competitive intelligence – legal or corporate preferred; excellent skills with online research databases, such as Lexis or Bloomberg Law; strong skills with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint preferred; must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; and must have the ability to travel to regional offices on a regularly scheduled basis.
